Series: OH BOY

This series of paintings marks a significant turning point in my artistic journey. It is my very first series in which I have exclusively portrayed men.

It wasn't easy for me at first. I first had to discover my own masculine energy while painting. It was both surprising and fascinating to discover that my male energy is obviously a mixture of humor and combativeness. The humor seems to be cross-gender, while the combativeness is more protective. So my "boys" are either humorous or have a caring, protective aspect.

"OH BOY" is a humorous invitation to challenge yourself and discover your inner protector. It is about facing life and its challenges with a wink and protecting yourself, regardless of whether you are a man, woman or diverse. This challenge reminds us how important it is to stand up for ourselves, celebrate our own strength and, if possible, have fun in the process.
